if it doesnt look like pudding under your valve covers i wouldnt worry about using seafoam. does your oil come out dark black when you change it?

seafoam is good to suck up in a vacuum hose for top end cleaning. Leave it out of your gas, and with good API SM oil (conventional or synthetic) it's not going to clean a whole lot.

as long as you change your oil regularly and dont buy a no name brand you will be fine. filters, stay away from fram. ive been happy with castrol products. i noticed that since i started using Castrol Edge my pressure has been higher than it was with conventional

Default oil pressure

My lt1 holds anywhere from 30-70 lbs of pressure. I run Mobil 10-30. It has developed a sort of knock when you first fire it up. Is that because its like 30 outside or should i start to worry?

probably just the oil being extremely thick from low temps and not flowing through the engine quickly.

Mobil one 10-30 full synthetic for me. Valvoline full sythetic was my first choice but the engine used at least a full quart more of oil in 3k miles than mobil one. Disappointed me, just my observations.

Big fan of Rotella. Use it in all vehicles including the street bike.

mine knock for 5 to 10sec and goes away - i use 10-40 i live in a country that reach 40 degree in the summer ( 104 f ) and winter 5 to 10 c ( 40 - 50f ) so i use alll the time 10-40 semi synthetic api - with no issue for the pressure on cold go up 60 iddle at 20 in hot weather will fire up at 60 and iddle less then 20 ( maybe 15 )
