Default low coolant light comming on after i installed my opti?

the low coolant light comes on after driving my car for about 15 minutes how do i go about filling up the coolant all the way? when i first open the radiator cap it is up to the top and then i start it and the coolant starts to come up so i end up closing the cap. any ideas on how to fill it?

well not sure on your year model but on mine it came with 2. One on the heater lines and one on the elbow on the waterpump. You could just have a faulty sensor. check out shbox website on the subject. check this outhttp://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#low_coolant_lamp

I had a similar situation make sure your overflow is full as well as your radiator and make sure you release the air outta your water pump lines.

And if all else fails, Just unplug the sensor on the radiator right under the fill cap and keep an eye on the water level the old fashion way. No matter what my low coolant light would come on when it wanted to. I never ran it low on water.
