Default ewp weap hole

will installing an electric water pump fix a weap hole problem?

a weap hole problem is typically due to a failing unit and is used to relieve pressure from the component, not 100% on that though.

so if you are replacing the mechanical component of the water pump with an electric unit it should in theory fix such a problem if the mechincal component was the problem in the first place.

yes installing it will eliminate the problem. The ewp comes with a freeze plug that blocks off the mechanical shaft bearing and weep hole.

The weep hole is designed to do just that. When the impeller support bearings begin to wear, coolant will leak through the seals and exit the weep hole. That's how you know the pump is on it's way out.

better hurry up and fix that you dont want coolant to leak into the opti .

The thing is the e-pump also has a weep hole and if you don't run the pump often enough the seal will dry up and you'll have a problem there too. You know how I know this?
