What did you do about fuel pump, low fuel pressure for the carb, distributor etc.. I am seriously thinking of going this route for the simplicity of a carb. Don't get me wrong I would rather fuel injection over a carb anyday but not for a street/strip car that mostly sees WOT and little cruising. You get away from the opti, 7000rpm rev limit and tuning a carb is easier then renting a dyno, tuning on the stock PCM for 20hrs to get it dead on. Thats like $2,000 in dyno time so youre better off getting a Bigstuff 3 or Fast setup if you have to stay FI but that is really expensive. so for the price of a carb, intake and distibutor you get a better intake setup( longer runners, more tq and HP), lose your factory 7k rpm limit, ease of tuning with a carb and timing light you could tune it at the track or dyno in very little time. How much total did it cost you to do the swap and what cfm carb did you go with? I have a Holley 750DP at home and could pick up a super victor for $200 so all I would need would be a distributor. Anything speacial you had to do besides gauges and stuff? LMK Thanks Clint
MSD billet distributer, coil, box etc. Right now there is a bypass reg. for the fuel, but this weekend we will set up our system with a fuel cell, holley blue pump etc. Cost wise: Dart intake $400, coil $130,dist. $300, quick fuel race carb $750, wires $80, fuel system about $400, MSD 6al $200,gaskets $40, and more misc stutt like painless wiring for fans and fuel like $60 each and fittings and such. I am sure that you could do it cheaper as well. It just depends on what you are looking for power-wise. We couldn't use a vic jr. because there was not enough material to port match to our heads. Hope this helps. Tammy
