I blew a headgasket about 2 months ago. I'll be getting around to fix it soon, but my question is do I have to take off my oil pan to clean up in there or just draining it will be fine? Or maybe I can seafoam or add some additive to my oil, once I finish the gasket repair, to clean up in there?
Let me know thanks.

I am interested in this, thanks to my cousins splashing the Z28's window with a bucket of water instead of just rinsing off the dirt with a sponge as I specified clearly, I ended up with water in my lifter galley (I had a cloth in there that soaked up most of the water from what it looked like).
I flushed the valley with 20w50 oil but I have yet to take the oil pan off (I am going to in a few days to swap out my oil pump.
Wonder if the diesel will do a better job?
