Default Track times 1/8 ?

Well got some track times in the 1/8th was about were i was thinking i should be. 8.20 @85mph
I think i am missing some MPH. The car still has 2.73 gears but the mph usually shows horsepower. Do i need to be looking for some hidden power? I am thinking i can get a bit more out of it. Sorry no time slip Midnight madness. Car was launching hard (Toyo proxes drag radial). Thanks guys let me know what you think.

I'd say thats a pretty damn good mph for your mods and those 2:73's

Heads ported at all?

CBR was this at Clarksville's midnightmadness? Their track prep sucks btw! That time does not sound bad for the mods in your sig. Get a rear end out of a 6 speed car to put in yours and try it again. Check out MTFBA.org it is where the rest of us F-body guys go for Clarksville Nashville meets. Later Art

Thanks guys. Yeah it was at Clarksville track. I tried to get out there before the track got to bad. The car ran the same time everytime except for the first run. Stalled it up and launched and after that just flashed the converter. Heads are stock with a bowl port and a three angle job when it was built, thats it. I guess it is just wishful thinking for it to be faster. Hahaha Time for gears and alittle spray.

What was the 60', do you know? 85 is alittle on the low side for your mods, should be closer to 87.

No i don't know 60'. They do not give out slips in midnight madness. I was thinking it was alittle low. A few weeks ago i went out on street tires and was slipping and slidding everywhere and was getting 85 mph traps. The car was getting out of the whole very well last night. It just did not feel all there. I am going to check out a few things and see were that leads me. I might try and hit Wed test and tune to get some time slips.
Any ideas of things to look, at I am thinking fuel and readjust the valve lash.

very good for 2.73 gears. Invest in some 3.42's and the car will run alot harder. If using street tires, you might have traction problems and need to invest in some Drag Radials.

you might find a used 3.42 rear end for $150 or so in the for sale section.

The FRR is an Areomotive. It was one of those things that mine was leaking and I had the extra cash at the time to upgrade. Thanks for all the thoughts on the car and the run. Yeah gears are on the top of the to do list, the car is no longer a daily driver so I am thinking 3.73.
