As long as you maintain it it'll hold up.

Depends on how high you wind it too. I'd look for a cam that didn't want so many rpms.

Could pick a much better cam for stock bottom end.

Keeping the r's low is important. The opti, and rod bolts dont like hi rpm's.

Buy a kit and spray that lt1. You can make some sick power with bolts ons and a 150 shot.

My first build i did was at 135,000 with just a top end rebuild, headers, injectors, gears, and a CC305 with full supporting vavle train.. It ran great and i was running it up to 6300 RPM and it held up, if you take car if your car i think you'll be fine man, and nitrous does wonders but is very addicting

And as far as doing the 383 build i'm sure you can do it for that but you might as well wait and save up more cause whe you start getting into it you always seem to want more expensinve stuff and more power and before you know it that price tag just went to 7,000 to 8,000 lol

Trust me in the end it will cost alot more than you think. Don't forget all the cost in valvetrain, injectors, fuel pump, couple hundred in gaskets, manifold porting, TB, head bolts, etc. etc. Figure $3500 for just a heads/cam swap.

Depends on how aggressive the heads and cam are in terms of the injectors. Some SVO 30's usually do the trick if not some 36's would be good. The best fuel pump kit IMO is the Racetronix 255.
