Mines on as well, and my ABS seems to be working fine. Guy I had weld a O2 Bung into my exhaust said it felt to him like my brakes were binding a bit while he was turning. But I just think he as never drivin a Car with a locked rear end before. When I throw the scan tool on there no codes come up. Ill reset and try again, I just ignore it most of the time. And my cruise control does work.

I have the exact same problem. But I changed my plugs and wires and my abs light came on. Then later installed some headers and now my brake light wont go off. Maybe it has something to do with jacking the car up in the air?? All break lights work and fuses are good as well. Very weird...

The ABS module is in no way tied to the PCM, so you won't get any codes through the PCM. The EBCM is what reads and stores codes (mounted above the driver side kick panel). A Tech 1 scan tool will be needed to pull the codes. Considering there are 53 possible ABS trouble codes, it might be worthwhile to have it scanned, or else you're just guessing.
It will help you pinpoint the fault.
Do the obvious though and check for any loose connections at the wheel speed sensors, broken wires, etc.

I have the same problem; mine comes on when it seems I have had vacuum leaks, burnt plug wires or exhaust leaks. I hadn't really thought about it too much until now. Not probably related but how come the ABS light will come in when folks have switched to the SS type spoiler?

i have read its something to do with the speed sensor reading slower, and the abs sensor reads off of how fast the back wheels are spinning compared to the front wheels so it knows when to work, so when the numbers dont match it wont work at all

So there is no communication between the EBCM and the ECM?
Good info.

I'm pretty sure I had this same problem after I had my AIR/EGR deleted also.. I just pulled the bulb in the cluster and problem solved.
I had a Dakota I put drop blocks on and the ABS light also came on. Who knows.

I would tend to think that the speed sensor that goes to your front calipers might have rested against one of the headers and burned before attributing the EGR/AIR removal. The wire runs right down the side of the wheel well and is perfectly placed that if your headers are really close to the frame that they'd probably melt.

I am going to lean to this post below as your culprit following the installation of long tube headers.
I had mine come on approximately a year after my long tube install, sure enough, on the passenger side wheel well the wire had touched the header one too many times and melted apart.
