Ill be running 1.7 rockers so the lift will be .558/.558 I'm not interested in more duration because I dont want to spin the motor past 6400. And its already in the car

I have seen up to 250 at a single shot on the stock bottom end and it did hold up.

I ran a 180 dry shot untuned for quite a while on 93, not something I'd recommend but I did have to change plugs like every other month

Not sure what the record is but my car went 11.22@120 on a little 125 wet kit.

I highly doubt a stock longblock bolt on lt1 could go 9s on a 200 kit. The stock eliminator cars are by no means a bolt on only LT1.

The stock eliminator cars run a large duration/ stockish lift style cam. Also stock intake, TB and rockers that I know of. Maybe Daren will chime in to be certain. Id say a 200 shot bolton car would go 10.5-10.6

Why does everyone think 3000 is that light, its honestly not hard at all to reach that #.

That weight is very hard to achieve especially if your adding a cage, bigger/stronger aftermarket parts even if they are chromemoly. Your car will have to be completely gutted with 1 seat and no interior at all, dash cover only, all sheetmetal cut off as well....then include urself, its very hard to do so

I Dont see a 200 being a problem. LS cars are spraying 300 on Hyper pistons.

Im not really worried about what in thoery im allowed to do.... im gonna do a 150 then 200 then if track management isnt bitching then ill hit it with a 250. But thank you for the advice on how to run it corectly though(I will run the 104 race gas and a msd timing control unit). Like i said, i could care less what happens to it if i go this route. Just wandering what the record was. Looks to be like 10.80 is the record to beat. Im thinkin 10.40 at best if im lucky. I have my last points race this weekend then a big money race in alabama the following weekend, so after that ill go ahead and start installing the system. May go ahead and install my new tunnel mount torque arm(runnin a stock piece) and also install my tubular k-member, tubular upper's and lower's, and QA1's to get that extra little bit. Ill keep updated with what i do.

do you have a 3000lb 4th gen?

dropping 500~lbs from a 4th gen is alot harder than you think, especially if you want it to have any semblance of a car, hook, strong drivetrain and pass tech

Ive taken 620 out... but the 9" bumped me back up 120, the cage will be another 80. So like MYLTWON said its not as easy as ya think. Actaully ill take that back... its not that hard to do so(if you dont care what it looks like), but its definately not cheap either. start adding up the cost of tubular kmember, a-arms, drag brakes, plexiglass and fiberglass, etc... all the money you tie up in weight reduction you could build ya a nice motor and be faster lol

Bullshit. 3800lb stock Convertible Camaro LT1 4l60e, long tubes, pulley,4;10's tune and a 150shot and slicks 11.31 @121. and we had tranny issues bad. 10's are easy with a good tranny and a bigger shot. Timing and a good tranny and a fuel pump are necessary.

Actually that was a typo b/c I meant to put low 10's there. I have seen a few cars go high 10's like 10.89, 10.90 but none have gone faster than that with a stock longblock. I have been 10.60's with a H/C stock shortblock lt1 ON a 150shot about 5 yrs back. So I know what it takes to run 10's or 9's for that matter but you will have a hard time running 10's with your heavy vert. Later
