Default LT-1 heads?

For a head swap on an lt-1, do i have to purchase lt-1 specific heads, or is there another style head that will fit the lt-1, reason i ask is that ive noticed lt-1 heads only reach as high as 58cc combustion chambers...im looking for 64cc combustion chamber heads to keep low compression, im lookin to go all forged rotating assembly with a procharger in my 97 WS6 if the car doesnt sell...anybody have any input on this? It would be much appreciated.

you can always run a dished pistons to lower compression instead of buying heads

but for reference the Trickflow GenX heads are 62cc, I'm sure you could run a thicker head gasket ontop of that to help lower the compression

im pretty sure after market castings have more CCs for this reason. If you are looking for stock castings, you may have to just run a thicker gasket? Hope that helps, im sure someone with more knowledge will chip in.

Edit: /\+1, i didnt even think of dished pistons either. There's another option!

well the reason i ask is because when looking at rotating assemblys the say 12.2 with 54cc heads, 11.5 with 64cc heads, and 10.6 with 76cc heads...im looking with hopes to find 76cc heads for an lt-1 with a rotating assembly that will get my compression around 8.5:1

Sounds like the assembly doesn't have dished pistons. Show us what you're looking at

probably because you're looking at a flat top piston (w/ 2 valve reliefs) rotating assembly, like previous said you need to find a kit with dished pistons

It's not LT-1, it's LT1....

There's no dash.

LT-1 is the old 350 horse 350 from the 70's....

any 350/355/383/396/etc sbc rotating assembly will work as long as it's for a 1 piece rear main seal
