yep gonna be ditching my true trac pretty soon for a 35 spline spool. keeping my 4.11s for spray though. 10s maybe with a 1.4 60' and 100 pounds out of the car. you're already getting down the track pretty good (mph) for only 400 rwhp. you thought about stepping up the cam size? its jumping the gun a little bit, but stick cars with some gear like duration.

Is that a farm house in the background of the second pic? Ever have any issues with Cows walking onto the strip?
It's looking good bro! I can't wait to get mine out next year to see what it can do! It's killing me not knowing.

Question for you guys with S60 rears, why are you getting rid of the tru-tracs for spools, are your cars more strip oriented? I'm in the process of building a similar setup 383, le3 heads and intake, 847 cam, LTs etc with a m6 and S60 with a tru-trac. My car is my dd right now and I've heard it's not good to spool on a street car. Have you guys started breaking the tru-trac diffs or something, just curious?
Oh and OP, great looking and running car.

I'm keeping my tru-trac...unless it breaks that is.
Tru-tracs have a history of failing on 9" 31 spline applications, but not so much in the S60/dana 60s.
There was a thread over in the Drag racing tech section of this site where a guy was having trouble with his tru-trac in his S60 and went to a spool. Thats the only tru-trac failure in an S60 that I've ever heard of, so IMO it does not justify running out and swapping to a spool unless it happens to mine too. Even then, as much as I drive on the street, I'd be more likely to buy a Wave-loc or a Detroit Locker over a spool.

The only reason I would switch it a spool is about 30 lbs lighter and its stronger.
Wicked, Ive talked to Lloyd about a cam and he has one for me that would really help on the big end. Im also gonna spray next year so I might a well leave in the 4.10s.
