Sensor question.

On a 94 z28 which sensor tells the PCM when to kick the fans on?
Engine temp or coolent temp?

its the sensor on the front of the water pump. coolant sensor i think.. engine sensor is in the side of the block..

it should be the one on the driver side of the block, i forget what # cylinders its between....

that one is between the number 1 and 3 cylinders.. thas the engine temp sensor. honestly man they about $7 a piece maybe a little more.. go ahead and change both.. haha.. be the best thing to do. that way you wont have to go back and change the other one.. and make sure you put teflon tape on em

The sensor in the water pump talks to the PCM. The one in the driver's side head goes to the gauge. All other information is incorrect.

like i said its the one on the pump that tells the computer to turn on the fans... and the one in the block is the engine temp sensor..
