yes the opti could make it miss and act like that. do you have a check engine light? if not the next thing to do is replace the opti.

The opti is FAR better than the incompetent and ignorant on the internet would have you believe.
If someone has repeated opti issues at such a mild performance level it IS something they are doing wrong.
