Default Update

I've worked the 60-foots down into the 1.46-1.49 range, depending on which track I run. So despite substandard air compared to last Fall, best ET's are now 11.26's, mph in the low 119's.

Outstanding Pat

you certainly have dialed the car in...if you can land at a track with the DA (500' or under) with the prep needed to hook you could pass the 11's.

great job on the car

Default [b]UPDATE[/b|

Another update to this thread...
Not much of a starting line today, but with the Fall air moving in and a tailwind I still managed to knock off a few more hundredths.
Even with spinning hard on every leave, the car was fairly consistent: back to back 11.17's at 119+, plus lots of runs between 11.18 and 11.23.
Best 60' was a 1.53. I usually get 1.45-1.47 at that track in higher DA than we had today.

WOW....forgot to get back to you on this. I'm glad you gave the update in the same thread. How do I attach thumbnails pics to a reply? I don't have any action shots. Car is currently sitting with what I bet is going to be a combination of main bearing & headgasket trouble. (Engine has been together for about 8 years now and it's my first engine failure ever!!)
I put the money I was going to invest in fixing it into the 97 SS I'm playing around in and keeps me on this board. LOL I did manage to finally get my profile pic on here, but it's so tiny you probably can't tell much.

Congratulations on your new best. I personally have always enjoyed running a better time than I have outrunning someone else. I'm always racing myself. (when I do get time to go) I remember one night several years back I made 6 passes and lost 4 of the races, but my car ran better than it ever had every time so I was happy as could be.

Still working it lower.
11.06 @ 121.6 yesterday at Cecil County Dragway.

If only I could have hooked up, I'd have my 10. 8 passes between 11.06 and 11.14.
I'm rethinking my suspension settings. I'm hitting the tires hard, lifting the fronts, and then it unloads.

Nice work, Pat! It is often a struggle with a well set up car that is heavy when the weather comes around. Rick had a heck of a time whenever the DA would get below 1kft. It'd make more power, but it typically was a net loss in performance since he pulled all the timing out of it to get it back under control. If not that, then the track prep wasn't there etc.

Keep at it, awfully close. The moons will eventually align for you.

Thanks for the update!

Very impressive. A heavy tank knocking on the 10 second door. Admirable to say the least.

Congrats on the 10 second run!

You should tell Ai to make a new post. Numbers like that deserve their own thread! Haha
