Some goodies came in...I've still got a lot of work to do!
UPS guy just dropped off my heads, rockers, intake, and elbow. Snapped some quick pictures with my cell but the lighting was horrible. Look familiar Chris? .
Parts!
Max ported AFR 220s and DRE 1.7 shaft mount rockers
Matching Super Victor single plane w/ fuel rails
Intakeelbows.com? 860 Performance? Mystery sheetmetal elbow
.
Waiting on the OK from my speed shop to drop off the heads to have them milled and flow benched, then sending the flow results to LE to have a custom cam ground. Then the solid roller springs need to be replace with whatever LE recommends with the cam he cooks up since those beastly springs would crush an HR lifter in a heartbeat.
Then I can button up the longblock, while I start the EFI connection LSX PCM swap. Once its all complete I'll pull out the stock shortblock H/C setup I have now and throw this in, along with a UMI tubular K-member.
Getting closer, but still got a ways to go >.<

Fairly modest goals...just want 10s NA with a hydraulic roller 23* setup . Hopefully mid 10s once everything is dialed in. The car has already been 11.7s with high 1.5x/low 1.6x 60's on the low powered stock cube setup, so hopefully it won't take too long to dial it in again.
Car still has full interior minus the useless back seats, working radio/CD player, electric windows, etc so its not a gutted drag car. The devil is in the details, and I will be working hard with all the suspension guru's I can get in touch with to make the most out of this build.

Puck, the bend on that elbow is BRUTAL. Why did you go with that? You trying to stay under a stock hood? WIth a vic jr my elbow setup may fit under a stock hood, the bend is much better.
Why is the plenum opening not uniform? It looks like a flower.
Not trying to tell you what to do but, Bret Bauer spec'd my cam and it has been a good choice. We have similar setups. I would at least touch base with him.
Nice stuff, I remember when mine came it looked like a BOMB went off at my back door LMAO, cardboard, paper and packaging stuff everywhere LOL.

The bend doesn't look as bad as it does in the pic IRL - it is much less of a sharp turn then the edlebrock elbow. Not really many choices for a single plane to use a stock style throttle body, and I have this nice shiny AS&M 58mm to use.
Which elbow are you running? I've got a 3" cowl already, so if anyone knows of a taller elbow to go from 4150 carb flange to LTX style then I'm all ears
I was under the impression that Bret does not do LTX cams anymore, and I have already been talking back and forth with LLyod about what I have an my goals so he already has a good idea of where I am going.

Here is mine Puck, did you read the thread in the dyno section about these elbows?
See here

I already have my 4 hole throttlebody, I gotta buy a carb style blow though hat and a throttle cable setup to make it work.

I know right, someone sure knew what they were doing when they got these parts! .
I have no clue what type of elbow it is, looks like an intakeelbows.com one becuase of the side plate welded to it for the vacuum ports. I would love to find a taller one for the LTX style TB...
Yea I remember that thread, it had a lot of good info in it. The elbow is nowhere near as sharp as that edlebrock low profile one, but I would love a more traditional tall one like the one you are running. Shame the options are so limited for keeping an LTX style TB.
Not sure where the wilson went, but the valvetrain/heads/intake are accounted for now! . The intake looked big to me and I measured the height of it...5.5 inches on the dot from the Carbon Fiber floor to the top flange. Its def a Super Victor, not a vic JR.
