I checked continuity between the connectors that you told me to the ground for the PCM. Two of them read 10 ohms and the others were around .05. I have stripped off the looms that hold the wires to find any breaks or shorts and Im not having any luck. This car is about to get sold for 1/10 what I have in it. This **** is getting old.

No reason to sell the car over two bad wires. Snip them a few inches outside of the PCM and run new wires up to the ground ring

I ran the grounds to a known good ground and I am still having the same trouble. A carbureted setup sounds so nice right now haha.

It's either I go carbed or I sell the car for cheap just so it leaves me. I know people will say I'm stupid for wanted to go carbed, but I just want to drive this hunk of ****. So Im gonna keep researching things and if I find some deals on a carbed lt1 manifold then I think that's the route I will go.

The changes involved esp wiring related to swapping to carb will make your eyes bleed. You changed the ground point but you did not check for bad wires or attempt to fix them

Sounds like you're just looking to get rid of the car and this whole thread was pointless

Im still trying to figure it out. Ive just got a lot of **** going on and that makes it tougher. So every time I try something new. I'll find it one day. The thread isn't pointless bc I appreciate all the time people have spent helping me with this. Im just frustrated as ****. That is all.

you need tuning software (or find someone who has it) to take a look at the pcm. I had some grounding issues when i out my motor back in and it did weird things. Just keep looking or totally reinstall the whole harness

I pulled the car out of the garage tonight. Im gonna take a break from the car for a week or two and in the meantime pick up the necessary tuning things like ALDL cable or whatever it is called. I just chose to back off for a while since the car was causing me too much stress. Thanks for all of the help. I will bring this post back up when I get back to working on the car.

all of the idiot lights that are on could be a cause from what was deleted and added with the tune. abs was probably deleted same with the air bags. temp gauge could be caused by a bad gauge cluster or short in the wire. but do u have a full exhaust on the car or just open headers right now, because if u don't have any type of exhaust on it u are sucking air back into the headers and it is throwing off ur O2 sensor and that is why it is running so rich.

Well I am bringing this post back. Don't worry, people, I will still be giving the 100 dollars to the person who gave me the right suggestion first. Now I have bought a ALDL cable and tunercats software with the $EE definition file. Tonight I got the car back in the garage. Tomorrow or wednesday I will actually start working with the PCM. I will keep everyone informed of how it goes. I'd really love for this car to be back on the streets before newyears.

I look forward too to finding out what the issue is. Hopefully, it isn't something simple.

Default Alternator

Do you have another alternator you can borrow? Reason being, Yes you can have the voltage but if there is not enough amperage, this can cause all of the problems you are experiencing..

sounds like my car, i built the motor, installed it and it ran but very very shitty. every single light was on etc. I bought this obdcom.com It works great, scanning as well as live datalogging. I had 16 trouble codes at first. One thing i can suggest is replace your coolant temp sensor, that took care of alot of my problems.

Good Luck!

The ECM or wiring is messsed up. The fans are on all the time limp mode. And all the combined troubles are either ground related or program related. Check your wiring and plug connectors to and from the ECM. One may have pushed back out of the connector There is to many roubles to be a single problem like a sensor. Its wiring or the TUNE. TOM
