1994 Z28 camaro and have no clue what to do please help
I just bought a 94 Z28 and the only reason i got it because it didnt have a motor or trans in it. Ive taken all the seats and plastic out and im wanting to pull all the wires out and put an ls1 in it... what should i do???

lots of people do 5.3 swaps. almost as much power as an ls1. check out the engine swap on a budget in conversions and hybrids. you could make a lot of power with a turbocharged 5.3

they throw an ls7 in it! :p
i thought you meant you didnt know where at all to start, that's why i gave you that link.
i'd say start by sourcing your engine and trans and if you want to build it up while its out do that, whether building it up is just putting a cam in it or sending it to be bored over or stroked or w/e. you're gonna have a new engine harness so you're gonna have to pull all that old engine wiring harness out. may as well rip all the interior out. there is sound deadening material under the carpet that you can cut out to save some weight.
so yeah you're right, pull all the crap out then put the engine and trans in and rewire that sucker and pray that it starts

yeah i have an 08 truck i play around town in but i want it to be just for the track. Ive got all the carpet and seats and everything out except the dash and steering wheel, pc.s and wires, i got the car for $175 from a guy who buys gm performance parts from me it has a 3by3 spot of rust on the floor on the passenger side but other then that needs a new hood and a little crack in the front window. oh yea motor and tranny lol. I was going to put an ls1 and build it up but now ive been thinking about a 2500 hp LSX but i go back and forth all the time idk.. never built a car before just trucks,, thanks guys
