Default First trip to the track

Ran better than I expected with a cam only. 13.73 @ 101.6 from a full emissions a4. Now what to spend money on next? I'm going to do a mail order tune asap, but other than that I'm not sure what would be the most beneficial
thing to get ( besides subframes and LCA's). Converter or longtubes, or other? I would really appreciate any advice, just want to get opinions from people who have already been there.

Thats a pretty slow trap. Get that thing opened up and let it breathe and it should come alive.

I'd be doing

Headers
Intake
Tune
Stall
Gear

In that order.

.02

Good job on your first time out though! It will only get faster and more fun from here! (And more expensive)

That sounds like what a bone stock a4 does in good air.

I would definately get a stall.....stock cam cars even NEED a stall baaaad!
Headers and a tune will be very helpful..

I will not bash your times especially since i do not know your altitude nor your DA.. that ET is a good starting point to document your improvments.

i would say buy a stall next. Only because it will help driveability around town w/ the cam. and plus it will give you a nice difference in times.

i remember driving around on a stock stall with the hotcam. I did it for a year and after putting in a 2800 the difference was nice. The car drives like stock now. no more surging or pushing through the brakes at red lights.

A stall, drag radials, and long tubes are the best mods you could do.

Thanks for the advice. I will go with the stall next ( at least 2800 ) and do the tune now mainly because I can afford it. Yeah the stock converter sucks.
The long tubes will have to wait till next year though. Thanks again for the input! Anybody have a line on a good billet converter new or used, just want to stay under 700.00 if possible?

Do at least a 3400! If you look around you can find a used one well under 700. Then send it in and have it freshened up and restalled to what you want.
