Congrats. Another great mod addition or upgrade I should say. Nothing sounds better than a big cam. Is that "popcorn" popping I hear?

Oh really???

Old cam is out new one is in, Just need to button it up and get a retune ! If the weather holds we might even get to the track this year.

Hmmm.....never read of any engine master combos that won with wide lsa cams.

cant wait to hear it run man good luck with it, im gathering the last small parts of my LE welded intake, trickflow, setup and t76 single turbo that ive been fabing and i cant wait


Your car is sweet man, if mine was that mint i wouldnt of done my full rebuild lol

he had a 108lsa before... how much is he spraying 300? Nitrous likes duration, plus its a 6 speed. I say step up the duration and keep the 108 lsa, throw a man gear in it like a 4.56 and put it on a 28" tire. Stil have some rpm left for a 100 shot.

the original cam was for the stock bottom end, mid range TQ and a 6400 RPM shift point.

The new cam is focusing on power from 5200-7000 RPM where the car will be most of the time going down the track. It is still a low 230 duration intake lobe and will have descent low/mid range power too, just most of the benefit will be in the higher RPM range.

Engine Masters are taking average HP/TQ #'s across the RPM band but if the engines were focusing on higher RPM only, things might be a lil different.

I doubt if you will find someone using an LT1 intake with a MAP sensor and MAF sensor in the Engine Masters competition either.

Cam is already in. Just waiting on the intake gaskets. Lloyd is sure we will see some nice gains with this cam over the old one. We will find out soon enough.

probably something like 40rwhp or so??? ive been talking to lloyd alot through email and have been over alot of info about the LSA changes. prolly something like a 113LSA?? im gonna guess close to a 232/236 duration, the only thing im unsure of is lift. maybe a .565 or maybe a .612? how close am i?

I dont think 40 more rwhp is gonna happen. The cam is not that different from what I have now. Im hoping for maybe 10-15 more rwhp
