I'm working on that actually for my car after the LED install with my SS spoiler, but the easiest location is where the brake light and the wiring harness actually meet under the plastic cover in your trunk lid, not sure on the resistance you need but if you find out let me know lol

Hey:

Check your cruise control out if it does not work you'll have to add a resistor pack to get it to work again with LED tailights.

Autozone or any auto store

ask them for the automotive relay with the 87, 87A, ,30, 86, 85 pin.

ive used this type of relay for a lot of things on my cars like eletric fan's, push button start, ect...

I just pulled out my a/c relay and got them to match it up at the auto parts store.

Subscribing. I'll be installing an SS Spoiler with the LED as well.

why would a led 3rd light cause an abs inop light?

Because the LED (as opposed to the bulbs) does not provide the resistance the ABS and cruise uses to tell if the circuit is intact.

Yeah the PCM expects to see the x ohms value of resistance provided by the two light bulbs. Just match the value with a resistor and use a relay.

The actual mod to use the relay uses the relay coil as the resistance (relay not used in the normal fashion). The relay coil is used because common resistors cannot handle the amps of the circuit and dissipate enough heat to be safe.

Ah I see. I assumed it had to see a certain OHM value.

I have the LED spoiler and LS1 tail lights myself. The LS1 taillights have two additional bulbs in them so my PCM still sees the actual bulbs like it wants. No relays needed if you do this mod.
