I'm looking to buy a timing cover to finish my set up on my 97 lt1 ss. I've checked the auto stores here in waco and no one has the correct one! Allen Samuels told me they stoped making the one i need a while bak..?? It needs to have both the Opti hole and the crank sensor. thanks guys

the 96-97 timing cover GM part# is 12552427. $40 bucks and it comes with the 3 seals according to shoeboxs website. i dont know who Allen Samuels is. is that a GM dealer?

yea its a gm dealer here in waco. thanks man im still looking around for one and no luck Ill try gm again with the part number.

this is the one with the crank sensor also rite? because i need it to have crank sensor and the top hole for water pump or opti cnt remember which one that lil gear turns but needs 3 holes total with sensor

yes its the correct #. 96-97 timing covers had the crank sensor.


theres actually 4 holes total. One for the waterpump, the opti, the crank hub, and the crank position sensor
