LPE has been in the game for a long time! I have used their grinds since the early 90s in my 3rd gens with great success.....the LPE 211/219 is an awesome cam that builds lots of low end TQ emissions friendly...
The problem with most people they buy a cam due to size, sound and or the way a friends car runs......how many posts do you see stating" what's the biggest cam i put in my car"? rather than what's the best cam for MY combination"? So right there you will have people with a 10second sounding car that runs a touch faster than a stock cammed car......

LPE mainly stays within the emissions friendly type of cams......i would suggest with your noted combo to get a cam specd by LE,AI etc..

If you are looking for an emissions legal cam you cannot go wrong with the 211/219 cam. With LPE's ported heads/intake, that cam, Hooker LT's, 3.73 gears (six speed), ET Streets and a 3750lb race weight I ran a best of 12.09 @ 115.5. It averaged between 12.1 and 12.2 @ high 114mph. With a fabricated dual cat y-pipe I would bolt that on and pass emissions as good as stock (while OBDII was still doing the sniffer). Don't do the 219/219 cam. That is more for the TPI intake rather than the LT1 miniram.

would he really see some results from moving to a 211/219 from the gm hotcam? I thought I saw that in his posting that he had that cam already.

I never had a LT4 hotcam. What I can say about the 211/219 cam is the power and torque band is incredible starting at less than 1500rpm.

I have the 211/219 and its perfect for what I want right now. Torque starts way down low and it pulls hard to 6k+. Not much lope but you can hear some if you listen for it.

I would ask Ai or LE to spec you a cam so it will run great, and sound good too. I have an off the shelf grind, cc305 from comp cams with full boltons and a 3400 stall converter. It sounds nice, and runs pretty good, no track times yet or dyno numbers, sorry.

The specs are:
Intake-exhaust 220/230
Lift-duration 510/510
LSA 114

This is the same one I am using. I am moving up to a 306 and ported heads. This is a great sleeper cam and it loves the bottle due to the 114 LSA. way better than the hotcam or anything of similar size. Torque hits instantly and pulls all the way to 6K easily.
