AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm half way through, just finished the driver side, these brackets are a perfectionist's NIGHTMARE, so hard to adjust without taking the whole thing apart again.

I don't know if I have it in me to finish the passenger side tonight, isn't that the worse of the two sides? Sure looks like it.

My driver side had the burnt wire so that problem is fixed, got all 8.5mm MSD wires all hooked up, but the passenger still has the stock 7mm ones hooked up...Would the car be ok to drive with two different sets of wires?

Any tips? lol.

Stock wires got burned =/

Yeah the wires were pretty fat in the brackets, but they're all routed and I'm pretty happy with them.

Just a pain mounting them since it was my first time even getting to the plugs...AND I kept all my emissions (AIR/EGR) now I know why everyone deletes those.

I made my own OTVC wires. I used MSD 8.5mm wire, and also ran their heat guard the length of the wires. I got the Made For You looms that are designed for 10mm wires. It was a little bit of a pain, but it worked pretty well. The nuts on the bottom of the looms were the biggest pita, imo.

Oh yes, those guys had many vulgar names.

Great idea for running the wires, just horrible design IMO.

I want to team up with someone who has the ability to make the brackets, I've got some serious legit ideas that would make them AMAZING. But, I won't share them because its not patented

Pics will be up tomorrow when its light again, I'm out of the garage for the night!

I've had my own ideas too. These guys are morons for designing them the way they did.

When I go to do my headgasket swap, they're going in the garbage. I'm just gonna route them like ACHotRod and SpeedInc do. Underneath the headers w/ lots and lots of zipties to get them out of the way.

We stuffed some little pieces of cardboard under the looms to ensure the nuts stayed put while we were messing with the wires getting them secured.

Why not just silicone the nut inside the plastic?

I thought about doing that, but I didn't have anything laying around other than glu-sticks, I wanted it done right then and there lol, didn't want to wait for drying and such.

I like runing them under the headers way more. It makes taking off the VC less work. Plus I never burned a wire running them this way.

I did the otvc setup with taylor wires along with a new plugs. It took me the better part of 2 hours to do. And yes when first positioning the wires in the loom it is a pain in the butt to keep them darn nuts in place!

not saying you wasted your money and made the wrong choice or anything but stock wires should not burn with pacesetters. I ran my pacesetters with the wires in the stock location for 5k miles - then switched to OTVC and had a nightmare. Now im back to stock wires with NO LOOMS at all. just 3-4 zip ties and i have plenty of clearance. Took me 10 minutes to install, it was glorious.

Yeah, I figured I could just zip-tie the crap out of the stock ones...only like 2 of the wires were close to the headers, one was enough to spark and kill the wire.

Saw a lot of guys running that 8.5mm wire and thought I'd try that since I burned one anyway.

And I kinda like the look of the OTVC, mine is Black/Black so it doesn't stick out too much, they're no where near close enough to burn now...just didn't know it was gonna be this much of a pain lol.

I also went with the black MSD wire, but it is also covered in MSD's black heat guard. My wires are pretty fat. Someday I might try routing the wires under the headers, but the OTVC looks pretty nice. By the time I actually get my car back on the road, the wires will have probably dry rotted.

I used the taylor 10mm wires in the past, now those are big wires. Ran them likes stock and never had a problem. I am interested how my LTCC setup is going to work out with my universal kit from moroso.
