Honestly, as long as it's close to the cc503 I'm good. They wouldn't ask you for the specs you wanted if they couldn't get extremely close to the exact specs of the cam you want. I just want to be able to trap over 110mph in the 1/4 mile and I'm happy. I was afraid the hotcam wouldn't be enough, which is why I decided to go with the cc503 grind.

This whole setup I've got has been budgeted carefully. I got an engine for $700 with everything minus clutch, which is the only thing I really needed.

I've so far spent about $1000 for engine, 1.6 rr's, cam, valvesprings. By the time I'm done I'll be close to 1400 with the clutch and resurfaced flywheel and I might get a new opti. I think and I'll have a nice little motor assuming it runs good!

Sounds like a nice motor at a good price.

Can you regrind a set of hyd camshafts for my 2000 vw gti vr6 12v motor for more power? How much?
