Default Dual fuel and injectors

Who is using a dual walbro in tank pump setup?

Do you run both pumps all the time, or only under power.

If you do run both pumps all the time, how do you prevent backlowing through the dormant pump?

Any pics / write up would be great.

On injectors, what is recommended for something in the 40-49lb range.

Has anyone used SVO Green tops? They're rated at 42lbs and I think run a little higher w the fuel pressure of an LT1.

New Lucas 42lbs injectors on the way.

I answered one of my other questions through searching. Nothing special needed when running 2 pumps, but only 1 when not under power (spraying, high boost, etc). The walbro pumps are designed not to backflow when pressure is applied in reverse, if that makes any sense.

No checkvalve of any sort needed.

So now I just need to get both of them in the tank.

anyone have pics / writeup for an lt1? There's a write up in the fuel section but it's on a 98 ls1 that doesn't have the plastic bucket

I use the green tops and have the dual wahlbro in tank setup and only use the 1 all day for normal n/a setup. Then I turn on the 2nd one for the nitrous setup, right at the line before I launch. Your standard pump is only rated to 550 hp and with 2 its about 1k hp.

I use the Ford Racing green tops as well. Just remember that you need to tell the computer that they are 44.5 lb. (IIRC) injectors due to LT1 fuel presure.

i personally like my green top 42s which end up around 44lb on fbody fuel system. a friend of mine swapped to lucas 42s to save money and the car ran like poop. also the tuner had a heck of a time tuning them. he ended up going to 39lb cobra injectors with the ev6 harness and it was a lot more forgiving.

i got mine from buyfordracing.com (new, duh) for a lot less than that ebay ad although the price has gone up a bit since.

Maybe he got a bad set? Oh well, we will see. My brand new lucas 42lbs are on the way.

I thought about the green tops but they look retarded, I'd have to paint them

Your buddy must have gotten a bad set. Go search "Lucas" in the fuel and injector forum and people have nothing but good things to say about them and some tuners say they're very easy to tune.

Yeah, the plates way better than a nozzle though.

I'll have to talk to n20 outlet about it. The kit says "upgradeable to flow 400hp".

Not that I'm gonna shoot that much.

I think you have to upgrade the fuel line to even go over 175
