sorry to hijack the thread but just had a question, what would emissions do if you opened the cutout before they ran the test?

how is ground clearance going to be, if i run 2 cats on the Y pipe, and then a cut out at the end of the Y ? or do i have to put it on the pipe after the y and before the muffler?

I have a cutout in the area under the backseat and you don't lose ground clearance. Depending on the muffler you have you won't gain much. I gained 5 rwhp at the 400rwhp level. Its good for the noise factor though.

You will pass the sniffer test for sure... we passed my old mans 95 lt1 with jet hot lt's and dual catted y pipe and no problem it passed. Year or two later put the lt4 hotcam in and still passed with flying colors. Currently installing the pacesetter lts in my 94 going to be running a dual catted y and not worried about it not passing etest. I would suggest upgrading the header bolts to arp and ditch the paper gaskets that come with them and get a set of the mr gasket copper header gaskets which have held up great on the 95 and going to run them on my 94.

I have. I think the guy was dumb. He said that my car is running really clean. One of the cleanest he had seen. LOL

Meanwhile cutout was rumbling in the background.
