Not saying its a bad system because I personaly think its the best cat back, but if you can run an x pipe...do it!
Yeah, thats why I was asking, I really want to lower my car, but being my DD and having TDs, thats not going to happen lol.

So I was thinking about going back to a Y set up but with a GMMG or other chambered muffler, I like that sound.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone characterize the GMMG as raspy. Based on what little time I've heard my car running since I installed my headers, ory and exhaust, I would say it's anything but raspy. I guess raspy could mean different things to different people, and lots of variables probably go into how an exhaust actually sounds.

Powersticks aren't available in stainless steel?

I got mine in aluminized steel because I wanted to have the same material as the x pipe to prevent dissimillar corrosion but I think you can get them in stainless. Not sure though cause I wasn't looking for them. My car is lowered with the eibach pro kit with bilsteins and I haven't scraped one thing. I live where there are some horrible roads and there have been times I've seen something in the road and picked up my feet (like it was going to help, lol) and never hit any of the exhaust. Its tucked up extremely well. I will get around to taking pictures here soon but my brother was admitted to the hospital for respiratory failure early this morning. He has lou garigs disease. I pray for him and just as soon as I'm feeling up to it I'll get some pictures posted up for everyone and maybe another video. As far as the gmmg being raspy...I never thought my gmmg was raspy until I let my wife drive it up the street and I could hear it from outside the car...it wasn't so cool after that. Big difference in the way it sounded as compared to inside the car. The 1800-2600 rpm range was driving nails through my ears with as much as I had to drive the car and I just had to get rid if it. I was actually considering just buying a slp loud mouth and putting a powerstick in it but I learned that the y pipe itself is actually what causes the rasp and drone you hear in the rpm range we all are familure with. So, I just went with the x pipe. Just my .02 though.

Sorry to hear about your brother man! Hope all is well with him and he is ok. And I will keep him in my prayers for you also.

So you are just running 1 20 inch powerstick on each side of the duals? Do you think going 3 inch would cause the sound to change much and if so how do you think it would effect it?

I'm trying to figure out what will work for me - I'm getting ready to change my mid-tubes out for PS stainless knock-offs and ORY.

I currently have an ORY and a magnaflow and it's WAY to loud for me. I've been toying with the idea of putting something like one of these powersticks in my I-pipe to quiet down the magnaflow. What do you guys think?

Thanks guys and I'm really sorry about the pictures. My sister in law is staying at the hospital with my brother so I have all 4 of his kids and between taking them to school, dinner, baths and night time crying, they are wearing me out. Just as soon as I get some free time I'll run out there and take a picture or two. I'm really sorry about it taking so long.

4 kids along with the 3 of my own. I'm just worn out. My kids are 6, 4, and 2. His kids are 10, 8, 6, and 4. He's doing the best he can be though. He is in comfort care now because there is nothing more they can do but keep him comfortable until the time comes. I hate to see him like that. The thing that upsets me the most about the disease is the fact that it doesn't affect his brain. He's just as smart as he was 8 years ago when he was diagnosed with it, so...he conciously knows what's happening and it breaks my heart to see him lying in bed so helpless just fighting for every breath. I just hope he's in good hands cause seeing my brother, a person that has been so good in life suffer like this just makes me doubt things...

Hope it works out for ya man.

As far as the 7 kids go..I got a 12 pack in the fridge here if you need a break. If we need the heavier stuff we can go on base and get the good stuff at a cheap price.

CH - very sorry to hear about your brother - my heart goes out to you all. LG is a very ruthless disease & I have personally seen someone go from it & it was very sad indeed.

Thank you for all the positive press on my mufflers. You guys should see the incredible thread going on www.tundratalk.net on my mufflers. It's been on the front page of the "Performance Mods" since June, & is the largest thread ever on TT I believe.

Merry Christmas to all of you, & prayers for CH's brother & family.

-Eric
