Hurt the LT1: Video inside
i noticed you have stamped steel rockers instead of full roller rockers. this could have something to do with why your car isnt building more power on the dyno(i read your other post). i think you could pick up some descent power up top and that might get rid of the vvalvetrain noise
What kind of valvesprings are you running? Check for bent rocker studs, bent pushrods. If no bent studs or pushrods, relash the valves to see if it helps.

It sounds more like metal on metal rubbing than a tick or tap to me. I would check all the rocker arms for a bad bearing, then lifters, and if you find nothing wrong by the time you're done with that you can look in the bottom.

It was just an exhuast leak... by far the strangest exhaust leak I have ever heard. I also readjusted the lash on the motor with it running (never done it that way) and the motor is dead silent now. Time to go out and run some 7.6x's this coming weekend.
BTW, I do plan on upgrading to better springs and full rollers once I do heads. I don't like the fact I have 15k on my 918's... they are probably about wore out.

I haven't either... I was sure I had a broke valve spring or something. I am just happy to have it fixed so easily. Time to put the 200 pills in and see what it does.
