I bought a ported miniram for my 355 (not LT) that I'm building. I had it flow tested and it did 414 cfm out of one port.

the 383 that mastertomos is referring to is my engine and the miniram def does make more power. like already stated, the price is the killer. Out of the 3 intakes tested on this motor (edelbrock, gm ported lt4, and miniram) the miniram made the most power with tpis's 58mm tb at 555hp. then the lt4 and then the edelbrock with my holley 58mm tb made just shy of 530. Super knowledgable guys and great customer service. Would recommend them to anyone. Id post up dyno #'s for throughout rpm range for torque/hp but sheets are in the garage.

no no, dyno'd at the crank. It's not in the car yet. It's nothing too crazy as it was built built before i could really get good feedback on what size of heads to use. They're afr 195's, comp ultra gold rollers, edelbrock intake, holley 58mm tb, gm perf parts opti. But for not being too crazy, **** gets expensive!! got a mwc 9" on the way as well as a tick t56. and yes, its na!

Keep your stock intakes............ i'll do a cam-only comparative test with a ported HSR to a stock manifold by the end of summer.

Reason I ask is b/c I'm running the XFI280 in my 383 with AFR 210's. I've got a bit less compression than you (1/2 point) and a factory/ported LT4 intake. If your mill made 530hp at the crank I've always thought/hoped mine would be upwards of 500.

Will see how much that translates into on a chassis dyno through a stalled auto.

Sorry, didn't mean to usurp this thread. I agree with a few that I like the stock look of our motors and wouldn't change that unless I could keep a factory looking intake. But the price of this TPIS intake is outrageous :O
That's right! they're street port. wish i had the 210's now o well maybe someday. let me know how it turns out. Back to the whole intake thing, if someone comes up with a better flowing intake than the miniram i'd def be interested eventually. It sucks u actually have to buy a different fuel rail for it! otherwise it wouldn't be so bad.

I'm running the XFI 280 as well in my 383, I have a set of fully ported TF 195's. Great power but still wished I had more lol

I'd really like to see someone do the TPIS. Most people are happy with the power the Stock ported intake makes and that's understandable once the bang for the buck is considered. I'd personally love to see what a ported TPIS Miniram would do on a healthy LTX.

Same. I have an LE ported LT4 intake on my 385 with AFR 210 Comp Eliminators, but would like to see if there is more to gain with the MiniRam or HSR?

A guy on FB was saying his 383 with Edelbrock intake made 527 crank, then swapped to a ported stock intake and made 535 crank, then swapped to a TPIS and made 550 crank, all was with a Holley 58mm TB.. Then they swapped to a TPIS throttle body and made 555 crank.. All test was conducted in house by TPIS.. It had me very interested.. The price is $895 tho 😬

If it was legit the price wouldn't bother me as much. Probably going to have over a grand in a single plane conversion. That's a test I'd like to see, Miniram vs Single plane but on something with a solid roller that’s going to rev a bit.

Agree, for those of us who are 383ci+, big cam (240+ duration/.600+ lift), high flowing aftermarket heads, I think would benefit from more than a ported stock intake, this would be a good intake dyno test to do. The price isn’t much different from a single plane conversion.
