Man lemme tell ya, I got a 4 inch Mufflex with a Magnaflow muff on it at the rear bumper its an ear splitter. I cant even imagine a turn out UNDER the car.

You can stand on this car in the tunnel here and it LITERALLY rings and hurts your ears.

Well the car is anything but stock.

Quick list:

383, TFS 195 heads (flow 313 @ .600), 236/242 cam, blah blah blah

I'm already running LPP headers and was wondering about their true duals, but if it is going to be louder than it is already I'll just stick with my GMMG. Besides, I already have a 3 in cutout in the I pipe so if anything I'll just open that up.

I may still however order the LPP TD setup for the project car. I originally planned on just bolting some flanged glasspacks stright to the headers but I think I found a good deal on some more LPP's so their TD setup would match up perfect.

I guess eiter way I think I'm getting the TD kit. If anything I can slap it on the Formula and dyno it just to see if I do pick up any power.

And to all those asking about the GMMG, sorry, it won't be getting sold anytime soon! lol

How would you compare the pypes m-80 to a dynomax bullet? I am looking to quiet mine down a little bit.

quieter, not only that but its a canister style muffler which means you can run on muffled street nights at a track because it isnt a bullet. thats the way it works here in jersey at least. the muffler was only $60 too lol

I love TD's on my old full bolt on ported LT4 setup with a cc306 I gained 13rwhp switching from a slp loudmouth and 17 rwhp after it was re tuned. It was 3 inch coming off of the hooker long tubes with an H pipe and two flowmaster 40 series 2 chambers dumped before the rear axle. It had no drone and it sounded NASTY with the cam

I might have to give them a shot. The Dynomax bullets I have on there right now drone a little bit too much for my liking.

I gained a noticeable SOTP increase in the midrange going from a single setup (2OTL catback with a cutout) to my 3" duals with an h-pipe. Was very surprised, didnt expect to gain anything.

I like my 2.5" X-pipe and true duals, they exit out the back with 1 chamber flo's. The gain i got was very nice not as much as i had expected but the car sounds waaayyyy cleaner NO DRONE either, to old to tolerate that crap!
Now with that being said, a full bolt on auto car will show less improvement than a 6spd car from what i have seen.....My friends car had 3'' X-pipe on his bolt on A4 and actually picked up when cats were added, car obviously needed more back-pressure....
The look and the sound of true duals is worth it for me!

the only reason why I may switch back to a y pipe setup is ground clearance. I want to drop my car maybe 1.5" and w/ my current TD setup I'd hit/scrape lots of stuff.

Either that, or find someone that can tuck them up real good.

That's it. I have cats and routed out the back, so it's just right for me.

I have flowmaster 1 chamber knock offs and have zero drone versus my old bullets. sounds cleaner, smoother, better tone and quieter. but this is all imo

not the best soundclip of my car but you get the idea

I think TDs are cooler!!!! Just not very practical on a car that gets drivin alot.
My car picked up 17rwhp when I added a cut out to my cat-back. Not sure if I gained or lost HP/TQ from the TDs but the car did dyno less. Other changes were I pulled the MAF screen(now replaced) and also put in a Street Twin clutch. Im sure those things didnt help. None the less the combo made less HP/TQ
