Absolutely. As long as the oil pressure and compression were good then definitely.
Stabbing a new cam is not what kills engine bearings. A careless, sloppy, hurried, dirty install is what kills engine bearings.

So if something wasn't broke yet.. and you could still run it for much longer with a rebuild that would be cheap?...
You would scrap an edition of a car that has brought sheer joy and grins to your face everytime you get in it and step on the gas?
If that is your definition of loyalty and pride for these cars, you should get out of the car scene

come on..everyone knows it, these cars are junk...but when they run right (and have new motors) they are fun to beat around. but putting money into something with 200k miles on it, when the rest of the car is probably beat to all hell, does that make any sense? i dont think it does

^^^my car has 150k with the stock motor ( runs perfectly) and the car looks inside and out suspension and everything like it did at 10k. would you suggest I dont put a cam in my car just cuz its old and has alot of miles. every thing depends on how it has been maintained. you can do what ever you want to do its your car and your money. But B4 I put a cam in my car the motor will be freshened up. that's just my opinion.

IMO one of the best rockers out there right now is the Comp "Ultra" Pro Mags.
The normal Pro Mags have been a standard for a long time and the "Ultras" are a redesigned-better version of those.
I run them and they're great.
What you want in a rocker arm is
Light over the nose
Rigidity
Reliability.
The comps are lifetime warrantied for a reason.

Personally I'd probably just save for a full rebuild. I'd hate to do all that work and have the motor pop soon after. But to each their own.
You my friend are simply out to get a rise out of people, and for the most part you are succeeding because you've come onto a LT1/LS1 site and made stupid posts and comments. You must be one of those people that sits behind a computer screen and thinks their big **** because in real life you don't even intimidate babies. I almost feel sorry for you.
