i used to work at RMR here in utah and what i saw the most at tnt's was guys trying to figure out how they lost damn near a full second. altutude is everything, if your aiming for 10.9, you're really aiming for 10's or quicker. from your sig id up your stall to 34 - 3600 and get a bigger cam, the lt4 hotcam is garbage, and for gods sake do something with that suspension, thats gonna make a HUGE difference, i wouldnt up your nitrous shot, tho. good luck. you running D/R's?

In my opinion, trying to knock off more than a second at your altitude is asking for a lot. With all the things you'll have to change and the money it will cost, is it worth it? Even if you go for it, I would rebuild the bottom end so you can spin it higher.

It would be worth it but I'm not rich lol I'm thinking about using the motor thats in there now as a test motor and see how much spray it will take
brynnda, I'm running 26x10.5x15 MT ET Drags Stock suspension is working fine for now

Well, from being in Denver a few times and seing the fast cars there....for 10's....
A. Build the motor for more spray, because even a bigger cam and heads probably isn't going to put you into 10's in Denver. I can't remember his last name, first name was Cody, running a built 383 with solid lift cam, 300 shot was in the low 10's I believe. Just trying to give you an idea of what it would take.
B. Like most, drop the LT1 for an LSx and for the elevation issue.....Procharger or Turbo and maybe some spray on top of that.
I'm not rich either, so I stick to the LT1 as well, but don't have 10 second goals

Honestly man I would just get a higher stall (3600-3800) and go from there. Your stock stall is hindering your 60ft's quite a bit I would say, since you're dead hooking spraying 150 off the line. Just try one thing at a time as your budget allows and see what happens. That's my advice

Why drop the LT-1? ITs a fine platform even for an extreme build as long as you ditch the opti and splay it..

You sure the car isn't bogging? Has it been datalogged lately, or is pulling too much timing? What is the stall flashing to? Maybe its slipping???
On stock suspension you should be blowing right through those MTs if you spray a 150 shot off the line. I know you are at high altitude, but a 1.7 60' with MTs and a 150 shot off the line does not seem very impressive at all for a stalled auto if it is dead hooking. NA with street tires should be 1.8-1.9. I cut bottom 1.6s all motor with BFG DRs and a baby cam with a 3200 stall and only 345rwhp...
I know there is a huge altitude difference, but numbers for numbers even factoring altitude my 345rwhp build should not have a harder time hooking with full drag suspension then your 350rwhp build does with better tires and stock suspension.

8° timing retard for a 150 shot hmmmm, too much in my book... then again i have never pulled timing for a 150 shot on an Lt1 unless i had a N/A tune i it then i will remove 2°
I had the best gain on the 150 shot (safely) i went consistant 14.2s hit the 150 shot and ran 12.26....my altitude is not near as bad as yours but it is up there, generally 3k and higher winter time we see 14-1600 DA on occasion our track base is 2400'....I drove my Z in colorado and it seemed like i lost 50-75hp just normal driving

Yea 8* is probly a bit much but should be just right with the 200 shot
I went from 13.9 @ 98 to 12.0 @ 112 on the 150 I'm sure there is more in it. That was my first and only time at the track with this setup.
