Default Kooks header question

Hey guys. I'm looking at getting some Kooks long tubes, and I was wondering if it was worth getting the slip-fit collectors with them and what the benefits would be.

Do they offer anything other than slip fit collectors?

They come with venturi collectors, and the slip-ons are an option

the venturis are a slip fit to the y-pipe, The slip on collectors are a waste of money. They slip on the primaries and slip onto the rest of the exhaust pointless unless your doing a custom set up.

Is there a link to the collectors you're talking about?

Hey:

If you plan on keeping the SLP LM1 catback, you may want the Kooks catted
Y as its a very good fit and keeps the LM1 from being all drone a lot of times.
Also My advise to you is not to get the stepped LT1 headers but purchase the NON STEPPED version as they have less installation issues.

I was talking about a link to the "slip fit" collectors you mentioned in your original post. The Venturi collectors are also slip fit, at least with regards to the Y-Pipe. I didn't realize the Kooks were available with a choice of collectors, or maybe I'm confused.

Never mind. I think I see what you're talking about now. I've never seen "slip on" collectors listed as an option by any Kooks vendor? Perhaps it's something new. I wonder if it's an improved Venturi collector. I think I would want them welded on. I wonder if you order those collectors if the headers just come with open primaries.

I'm curious. I checked the vendor's website who sold me my Kooks, and didn't see "slip on" collectors listed as an option.
