Default High RPM oiling system - windage issues

I currently am running a stock oil pan with standard volume/high pressure Melling oil pump in my 355 with a stock windage tray.

I want to make sure that the oiling system is up to par. What oil pan are you guys running and what windage tray. I want to step up to a high volume pump as well. The Canton 15-242T looks like a decent choice http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CTR-15-242T/

What do you guys think of this? Any suggestions? I want to make this as reliable as possible and maybe pick up a few hp from better oil control.

Can anyone give me some other tips/trick that you are doing to help with windage issues?

What exactly do you have done to the motor to warrant spinning to 7500RPM, and what makes you think you are going to need a high volume pump?

I am using the 242T pan with the included windage tray and am happy with the fitment.

With that 242T pan, there is no windage tray mounted on the main studs, correct? A high volume/high pressure pump will just be extra insurance. I want to make sure that I wont be draining the oil pan at high rpm with only a 6 qt. sump

I got a dual kickout 8" pan

measured a line where the oil get to the level I wanted it..... I only run 6 quarts total and dont have any problem, I have a bbc style pump but its all onepc. like a moroso billet.

Id never run a HV on a stock pan.....not so much running the pan dry but parasidic loss, and aerating the oil.....

ok I understand that. Thats something i'll have to look into. my main concern is being able to keep oil off the crank and control it in the oil pan. Im especially worried about where its going on a hard launch.

So your saying I should or should not run a HV pump with an oil pan such as the 242T

The choice to run a high volume or standard volume pump should be left up to your builder. Looser bearing tolerances will circulate more oil, so a higher volume pump will be necessary. Tighter tolerances do the opposite, so a standard volume should be used. IMO, you should never use a HV pump on a stock bottom end because you risk stripping the oil pump drive. It goes without saying that it definitely shouldn't be used with a stock pan.

My builder went with slightly looser tolerances, so I'm running the HV/HP Melling 10552.
