throttle body

how much performance will i gain from a throttle body? is it worth the money? which brand is good for my LT1? will it hurt my gas milage?

On a stock car not much and if you get a big one like 58mm it could slow you down, Most people would say put the money on diffrent mods first. I dont know what you have done just going off your sig you just have a cat back and CAI ?

its a waste of money for you right now. the stocker is good for a lot of power. not to mention without tuning they can kill your trans (look it up).

i wouldnt bother until i you started doing a cam or some heads. its just not worth it on a almost stock car.

At your power level a TB is not something that the car needs. The money could be spent elsewhere like say on headers where the gains will be much more substantial. Unlike 5.0/4.6 Mustangs that really seem to benefit from larger TB's, larger MAF's, Intake Manifolds etc., the LT1's are pretty well set in stock form.

Wait until you build or if you have the extra cash and really want one the Professional Products are the best bang for the buck. Gas mileage shouldn't suffer at all.
