I made 302 Hp and I forgot what what my torque was but im goin back up there tomorrow to find out.mods are in sig.BTW my car dynoed at 265hp stock

Good #s bro do you have a tune or 1.6 rockers did not see in sig.

your 13.20 should definately be in the 12s especially at HRP

3.70s with a 6spd are KILLING YOU. your car would love some 4.30s

edit: i mean your 1/4 mile time of course

are you planning on n2o? If so the 3.70's would make sense. Otherwise a 4.10 or 4.30 gear would help.

I would not say the gear is killing you at all, the fact that you are not launching hard is hurting the ET most....

The added gear would be beneficial however, a tire change would be needed to avoid having to use 5th gear before the stripe,28" tall tire w/4.30+ gear and definately have to raise the limiter!

3.70 is a nice gear especially if you plan on N2o, supercharging or turbo

4.10 is cool for the same

4.30 or more is GREAT for 1/4 or 1/8 mile racing especially with Cam,Heads etc is really needed to optimize

he wouldnt need a 28" tire. im running a 27 with 4.30s and im going through the traps at 120mph at 6500 rpms. he wouldnt trap close to as high as me with those mods.

Are you saying this is a 97 SS and it only made 265 at the rear wheels ?

My 95 Impala SS , with 100K on it in stock tune did 235. Something wrong there.

without a tune or atleast having the rev limiter raised he would not make it across at that rpm

Assuming 15% transmission loss 305hp (SS - I have a WS6), his number would be 259rwhp. He's not doing too bad at 265rwhp stock

Any future plans with maybe some head work and camshaft? With a nice set of AI 200cc heads and cam you will see 400+

Possibly.....i hit the lights right at 5800 w/4.10s and 26" tires BFG DRs

my 1.6RR are in my closet waiting to go on and I have a mail order tune.

and the 3.70 gear is b/c thats what the rear came with(i bought it used). I would like to get 4.10s

from experience ill tell you that the LE2 package loves 4.30s if you throw some better rods and ARP hardware youll have no problem spinning to the desired RPM
