putting down power in a f body is much easier then in a stang

yes a properly tuned 4.6 4v will beat an bad running un tuned ls1 anyday

show me a stock cube na 4v 4.6 in the 500whp range

i can show you plenty ls1's

i dont want to have a debate i was just sayn that there are some 4.6 cars that can run good (besides termies) and i also slightly disagree with ur first statement....its easier to MAKE the power with an ls motor but as far as being easy to get it to the ground I think the stang has the better suspension aftermarket options given a factory 4 link....just my opinion

also i am not bias as i believe the lsx , ltx , and modular motors are all good platforms.

As long as it beats it, that is all that matters..

Who gives a ****, since when is a power adder not allowed?

You whiny little bitches that say "if it is NA" "without the supercharger it isn't ****" "blah blah blah... Take you damn tampons out and grow up. If a car is faster, its faster, regardless of what it has.
If you want to play that game.. A NA 4.6 "ls1" would get walked on by a NA 4.6 GT.

tough to say. in current form the 4.8 puts out 302hp and 305 ft\lbs of torque. and thats just a truck engine. a little more compression and a bit healthier cam easily puts it in the range of the current 4.6 hp, 315 and 325 ft\lbs of torque.

match that with a car of identical weight and it seems even-steven

But go back to whatever year these GTs are being made.. Lets say 2000?

I'm not sure exactly what it would be because it isn't real.. But I would guess it would only be making around 250Hp.. You have to think, the 5.7 was only doing around 340.. I no doubt think it would be a half way decent race, but I think the GT with same cubes would be on top.

back in 2000 the 4.8 was around 270hp. the mustang gt was 260.

but if you include 4v's of that era they obviously had the advantage

There you go with POTENTIAL.

Like I said, I'm not arguing about which motor has the best all out potential.
But an F body putting it down better? Maybe a stalled auto car. But when comaring apples to apples, a well set up m6 f body, vs a properly geared modular is going to have a hard time from a dig.

But screw all the bench racing, the **** gets old....

You win, an ls1 will beat a modular car, any time, any situation, any driver, any conditions....happy?
Anyone want to race a stock longblock 4.6

And look at what this turned into, a modular vs ls1 debate.......In the LT1 section Gotta love it!

i'm also talking about the era of 1993-2002.... the only thing the mustang had to really compete with from '03till this year was the vette and we all know the stang GT stock can't beat a base line vette..... as far as cobra's, they still needed a blower to beat the all motor GM platforms and compete with the vette

Who gives a **** about showroom stock? If you care about the performance, you usually aren't stock.

This is in the wrong section , but good kill!

The LT1's are definitely fun! What made you switch from being an all-time Stang fan?
