383 tuning problem
ok 383 LE2 heads 236/242 111lsa. LTs 58mm tb le ported intake, no emmsions, all new sensors o2 extensions done right. harness extended,36 lb injectors supporting fuel mods, so on so forth, no vacume leaks no exhaust leaks, ok so when its in open loop the car is awsome runs fin great hits closed loop it has terrible response time starts running really rich wont idle, all i have for exhaust is a y pipe im told this could effect it, when its idling the computer is trying to compensate for 15% to much fuel im sure theres things im forgeting start chimin in

so you just fired up the 383 for the first time and this started to happen or did it just start doing this out of the blue? was the car tuned for 36lb injectors? are both banks showing up as really rich? what is your timing at idle? Do you have a wideband whats it read in open loop vs. closed?
im assuming the open loop you are talking about is the period while your car is warming up. at this point the car will idle at a higher rpm then in closed loop. what are your rpms in open loop and closed loop?
how big of a split do you have between the right and left side?

i beleive the split is 7/14 at 0 tps at 1%tps they are 0. and it idles at the same open and closed loop and yes that is what im speaking of. im just gonna buy lt1 edit and OL SD tune it myself..
i would recommend tunercats over lt1edit. its cheaper and has more tables. when you do get the software maybe some more closed loop 0% tps timing could help you out. i run 32degrees at idle in my 385. might help but if the timing is the same in OL as CL then maybe not.
If you don't mine me asking who tuned it? I'm running around the same size of cam in my 383 and my tuner did a BASE tune on it and it drives just fine. Once the weather clears up, he is going to actually tune the thing.
