Default LT1 Starts and Dies...?

Been having a problem with car just dying while driving. Only did it about 3 times, then I was having a problem with it starting... Now it wont start at all.. I replace the Opti Harness and it does the same thing. Sometimes I can unplug th harness from the opti and plug it back in and it will start, but Idle very rough and as I watch the RPM gauge, It jumps up and down then dies... I noticed where the harness plug into opti, there was corrosion, So I cleaned it out and NOW it starts everytime but dies right after...

I always find other issue so it ISN'T the opti, but Im leaning toward it now..
It a GM Performance with about 23k miles..
Mods in sig..

Thanks
Kris

I remember my RPM needle used to jumps around when the opti had died. I found oil inside mine, all over the optical sensor (like it was dipped in a bucket).

Have a look for any leaks behind the opti perhaps?

Check your maf to, if it is leaking extra air from the outside of the intake tube then it will cause it to die and act funny.

Could be opti, i would check fuel pressure, then check ignition. ICM, coil, plug wires, plugs and opti.

Either a spark or fuel issue.

Check the fuel system, do a fuel pressure check. 99% of the problems in the world are caused by bad fuel pumps...
