I can't help it if yours quiet. You have my soundclips and another one I posted of the red Formula at the track. It's NOT quiet. It literally scares people if I give it 1/2 throttle or more in traffic.

So I read the site every few days but rarely post,, but I have to chime in on this topic of discussion. To those saying Flowmaster is louder then the Magnaflow on a STOCK car is high on pot. Flowmaster themselves will even tell you the same. And to the OP providing video clips with the 847 vs the 503..no comparison dude. To post such videos is simply a waste of time and space. I have ran both on both a stock/bolt-on Z28 and a TA and the Flowmaster was a lot more raspy in sound at any and all RPM level.

[QUOTE=94lt1white_bird;12698642]so i have a question all these cc503 videos i see on youtube and lt1 engine sound so much more cammed out than mine do
my mods are
of course cc503
forged brand new 355
pacesetter lt and ory
no cats
magnaflow catback
is it because im just goin through the magnaflow muffler and its choking the cam or something
Are you sure your valves are adjusted properly? Mine had more of a lope to it once they were set correctly compared to when they weren't. Also as mentioned, a higher idle speed will tame the lope. Big difference in mine between the 750rpm idle compared to the present 900.

magnaflow is to quiet i thought and at wide open throttle i thought it was way to raspy! and the cut out sounded good at idle but the second i push on the throttle it was so raspy, and i thought it just sounded like **** so i decided wasn’t going to waste any more money on cat backs and cut outs and just went to true duals dump before the axle and ide never go back!

The video that was posted was when I had a cc503, LT's, ORY, Magnaflow catback. It was untuned at the time so the idle was at stock level. When tuned we bumped the idle up a tiny bit so it wouldn't stall out in reverse anymore. I have a vid or two of my car with an open cutout idling but that video is with the cutout closed.
I then ditched that cam for a 224/230 107lsa custom grind and LE2 heads and the Magnaflow tamed it down pretty well. I pulled it into the shop to have them fab up some TD's and when they were done and fired it up they were like "it's got a cam?" lol. Anyhow I have owned several different exhaust setups and the Magnaflow is the tamest I have owned (at idle and normal driving). However, when I would go WOT my friends would always comment how loud the car was and I would have people drive my car and I can attest it screamed at WOT from the outside. I could still clearly hear it chop at idle when I had the cc503 and IMO it sounded really good. Alot of it has to do with idle rpm and of course whether car has cats and what mufflers etc. etc.
Here's an inside the car vid with the windows up of when I had the cc503 and magnaflow, I think it's pretty loud but again at cruising speeds it was really tame. I have heard that Magnaflow mufflers tend to get a little louder over time...
