We were all young once.

Both of you two "seasoned experts" need to be at the LTX Shootout!

Darren, look at his other posts. This is NOT a matter of young and foolish. We were all once there, this guy is just stirring the pot.

Wow, three grand for the chevy V-8 kit? I can get two racks of TB's for one hundred bucks! Makes perfect sense to me. Just trying to spark something new in the LT-1 seen. I'm tired of the recycled crap from the ninties which apperantly is just recycled from the seventies? Don't even get me started with GM's 20-10 line up.

Well, to be technical, the LT-1 is from the early 70's Camaro and Corvette, it was actually more potent than the LT1 of the 90's, which is what we have.

O.K. it was just an intake suggestion that's all. I feel very lucky to own and drive a LT1 and hope to modify with others support on here!

1 Craz28, I`m gonna play Mr. Niceguy and give you the benefit of the doubt here. It is very obvious from your posts you are young and inexperienced in the Hot Rod world. That being said, we were all young, dumb and full of .....

I think it`s great that you are trying to think outside of the box and do something unique and different. The problem I see with your logic is you are presenting yourself as a Know-it-all that will not listen to experience. So, let me give you some words of advice, people do not like dealing with someone like that and will turn away from you fast. It`s best to listen to experience.

Ok, now to the subject of your posts. The LT1 is based off the traditional small block that has remained virtually the same since 1955. That`s over 50 years of some of the best racers and builders tinkering with this platform. The LT1 really isn`t different enough to exclude itself from it`s predecessors. All these threads your starting are ideas that have been tried, tested and used in unique situations that just don`t translate into a street driven vehicle very well.

http://www.hilborninjection.com/

Follow that link and study as much as feel like reading. You will find days, weeks, months and years of use of that setup. The LT1 is the peak of the traditional small block. GM used years of use and development to accomplish the LT1. That is pretty much one of the best platforms for a street driven vehicle that the traditional small block evolved into with the exception of the LS platform, which is really a completely different animal.

To address your thread directly, your looking at $1000`s of dollars to make what your proposing work. Even after it`s all said and done, your not going to really enjoy it driving in stop and go traffic.

Show some maturity and learn to listen what the more experienced people have to say in reply to your comments. Don`t be a know-it-all. No one know`s everything.

1 Craz28, these are exactly the types of post that landed you the first week of vacation from the board. STOP.
