Use a rubber mallet and like mentioned, tap the driveshaft into the trans. Won't take much. lower it with your hands and pull the driveshaft out of the trans.

Don't forget you need to take the torque arm off/disconnect from the trans.

Diff does not equal driveshaft. Diff equals Differential (rearend) its the big piece of metal that your driveshaft bolted too, your wheels are also connected to it.

Hope that clears that one up.

Torque arm should have been one of the first things to remove.

There are 3 bolts holding the torque arm to the transmission in the clamshell bushing.

Just disconnect the torque arm from the rear end (the 2 long bolts) and wiggle it towards the back, freeing it from the torque arm mount.

Tip for the future: Be careful with cracking loose the brake lines at the abs module. They are made of soft metal. You will most likely need a flare wrench and vise grips. I saw somewhere where they put the visegrips on the flare wrench to keep it tight, so you dont strip fittings on brake lines.

Also like 1badz said, disconnect the torque arm at the differential side, and then slide toward rear of car while pulling end from the soft mount located on trans.

I also did not leak fluid when loosening the bolts to master cylinder, to gain access to hex nut. When your putting bolts back later put hex on passenger side to prevent that problem in the future.
