96 Z28 Auto Stuck in Park?!?!
Okay Guys, I went to CVS and parked the car, got my medicine came out to the car started it up, put it in reverse and nothing happened, rpms fluctuated a little bit, tone of the engine changed as if it went into reverse but no movement at all!!
it does this for every gear, the shifter flows through the gears and does this for everything, now when I try to take the key out it won't let me. What could have cause this? did the lockout pin break, Torque converter, Shift linkage or something??? I have absolutely no idea what could cause this
on another note if it is the transmission can I take the bellhousing off of the LT1 4l60e and put the bellhousing on a LS1 4l60e and bolt that on if the LT1 transmission took a *******

If you cant take the key out it may have something to do with the Ignition switch, if it somehow got moved it would cause this. When i replaced mine it would do that until i got it just right. Ignition switch that sits on top of the steering column and it may cause the rest of the tranny problems. Take it out and see if anything is broken

I will take a video of the problem soon.
Get under the Dash..remove all of the Panels on the drivers side..unbolt the Linkage, then the 3 on the Fire Wall where the Column goes through, then the 2 holding it up..then you will see the Ignition Switch.
