CAI > Elbow, any day of the week.

The only benefit to running the Vortech elbow is that it eliminates the 'donkey dong' air silencer (easily deleted anyway). The CAI makes the power, not the elbow.

Maybe I wasn't clear, but yeah.

The purpose of a CAI is to relocate the filter outside of the engine bay so it pulls in cooler air, making more power (hence "cold air induction"). Your filter setup is sucking in hot engine bay air as it sits.

that would be a smart idea especially since NO ONE has proven the elbow to be a real restriction.

No doubt. I paid over a hundred for my CAI. I bet you gain torque too.

Trick Flow ceramic coated Aluminum elbow there sells for $93.00 on Summit (part #TFS-3150801). Anybody looking for one like it could find it cheaper I'm sure... i.e. Granatelli at ws6store.com. http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=2521

add the lingenfelter super tube and you've got the combo http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=1812. It puts the filter element below a close-off panel away from engine bay heat. FWIW.

Ebay elbows are like $40, look the same as all the fancy name brands. Hope your retarded friend doesn't see this post, lol. Actually, ask him if he wants to trade a good LT1 for my shot one next time you see him.

Whoever you're dealing with is a crackhead. He is giving HP and torque away, then paying you...
