Default Having a few minor problems

Ok i have a few questions? First off and most serious. For the past few weeks while I am coming to a stop at stop lights and signs my low trac light comes on and the abs inop light comes on. Then it feels like..specifically in the rear end..like i am driving on ice. But as soon as i stop the lights go off. And I am not being hard on the brakes. I have got onto a back road several times about 30 mph and press the brakes HARD and nothing happens. But sometimes when I barely press the brakes it does it. Ok second question..What is normal operating temp for a 95 T/A. My temp constantly stays just about the 160 mark below the first dash between 160 and 210. I have heard that its not normal operating temp and my car isn't running as efficiently as it should/could. Only when I sit in traffic on a hot summer day for a long time the temp rise to just below the 210 mark...but as soon as I start moving the temp drops like a rock. And it has done this since I have owned the car since sept 08. And to my knowledge the brakes/fluid haven't been changed. Its a 95 with less than 67k miles. Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Your Brake Fluid is probably low.

To the second one..these Gauges are not exaclty accurate..be thankful that it's low..maybe there is a 160 stat in it.

I am glad that it is low. But I was concerned that I am not running at optimal temp. Unless it doesn't matter that the temp is low. Atleast I don't have to worry about "heat soak"

if its in the 160 and 210, your fine, thats NORMAL operating temps, assuming your gauge is correct

1. Also check your vacuum lines to you brake booster. One could be loose and leaking.
2. Sounds pretty normal to me. Could have a 160 thermostat in it, which is good. You could still do a colant flush on it. I do mine every year.

wouldn't he have idling problems too if it was a vacuum line on the booster?

Not if it's a small leak.

I checked the brake fluid and it doesn't appear low. But I am not real sure. I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to cars mainly f-bodies but I'm pretty sure it isn't low. I am running 17 ZR-1's with 315/35 in the rear and 275/45 in the front. If that is normal temp that I am ok with that. I just heard that it was a lil low and that it wasn't running as efficiently as it could. I guess that its normal tho. I also checked the booster lines and no leaks there. About 1 hour I drove to town approx. 5 miles. I was driving at about 35 mph and the ABS INOP light just appeared on and stayed on until I stopped and cut the car off....I'm confused. When I first got the car it was doing this then it quit and hasn't done it in almost a year until 2 weeks ago. I checked the fuse/relay box under the hood and it appears that the ABS relay is missing.

I still don't know why it is doing this. Possibly/Probably the missing relay.
