Default Lookie at what the FATBOY got!

Short story:

Guy with plenty of money's daughter runs the car hot. BMW quotes $13,000 for complete engine swap including new supercharger.

I bought the car for a SONG, checked it out. Put a head gasket on it and a radiator. Been driving it all week!

Drives like a champ, has the 6 speed paddle shifted automatic.

amazing what proper diagnosis can do isn't it?!?!? I wish I had the side work to have those opportunities again. Oh well, I have to deal with getting parts for free before they go to the scrap yard

Congrats on you're perfect DD!!

No offense, but I drove a friend's 5-speed John Works edition for a few days and wanted to die.

Glad you like it, though!

Not something that I would do...mainly because I wouldn't have the know how to do that. But excellent find. Even if you change your mind I know you can sell it and make a HUGE profit.

Is there ANY good reason this is posted in the LT1 section? Is the Mini getting an LT1 and M6 transplant with a 12 bolt rear? Now that would be bad ***....

Mini's are great autocross cars by the way. (Ending my negative post with something positive)

Truly I like the Mini's for autocross, they do great at that, still can't understand why it was posted in this section. I do however understand that the LT1 crowd is a little odd being in the LSx forum in the first place so maybe it's not so bad.

$60?! What modifications do you have? I'm pretty abusive with the go pedal and yet I get about 4 1/2 hours out of a full tank, and its only $38 to fill up.

Sweet steal on the Mini OP, how much did you get it for and then how much to fix?

Hey:

I don't how much different that one is from the Supercharged Cooper S Works Edition I use to have when I was in Germany but don't be surprised if the fuel economy is not what you expect. My LT1 got way better fuel mileage that the Mini did on the autobahn and my car is a Export Model Z28 A4 with 3:42 m6 rear gears. (stock rear went and could only find a M6 rear from a LS1 car) Don't get me wrong My wife loved the car and we almost returned with it to the states, but decided on an older model original style Mini Cooper S to bring back and that does get great mileage near 45 MPG on the highway most of the time.

I hope you enjoy it, but I'd sell it and buy a LT1 Caprice, RS Camaro, or LS1 car to drive around daily. Good find and diagnosis, good luck with it.

I bought it for a $1000, put 600 ish in it to fix it. So $1600 total dollars.

I just thought I would share with my LTx Brethren, is a FUN car to drive.

The JCW(John Cooper Works) cars have more HP and better brakes I think. This car has 168 HP. WIth a 15% Supercharger pulley, tune, CAI the manual cars put down close to 200 at the wheels.

I like it, its actually easier for me to get in and out of than my Accord, the door is longer.

I am gonna SCCA Solo it on the 31st, then hit an HPDE with it then prolly sell it.

I fit in it fine smart ***.

Actually ALOT of room, I can put the seat back far enough I barely touch the pedals and my arms are straight out. Course the rear of the drivers seat is touching the back seat LMAO.

Well I am considered....ummm thick. 5 foot 11, 255 lbs. I used to weigh 340 lbs sooooooo.

You know I thought these cars were gay chick cars also. But I tell ya what if you want a trackday/HPDE/SCCA Solo car this thing is a WEAPON! Is a flat out ball to drive.
