Fixed. The dealer should still carry the throttle cable, but if you want to keep cruise, you need the cable for that as well. That however is discontinued, but I was able to get one from the dealer because they had an extra in the warehouse.

wait...forgive me i have a good buzz on right now. so that ugly transformers looking mechanism over my drivers side valve cover is the traction control and not cruise? i read on another forum that it was the cruise. i really don't care about cruise, i just don't want all this clutter under my hood. so please point me in the right direction.

Cruise control is located in the driver side front fender or bumper on the frame rail. Trace the cable to it!

Oh, I should have explained. The box on your valve cover is the TCS. To delete that you need the cable in the link I provided. You won't have TCS or cruise control after.

ok so the cable in the link above is the cable i want to delete the traction control located above my valve cover? I might as well get rid of the cruise control as well being as i never use it. will i need a separate cable for that as well? sorry for the stupid questions. im new to the lt1 scene. (i tried a search, i know that remark is soon to be followed)

You won't need a new cable for the throttle cable. Just remove the box and cable - it's a seperate cable.

All you need is that one cable. You will install it so that it connects directly from your gas pedal to the throttle body. Everything else that was connected to the box is now dead weight and should also be removed.

I believe you will not have ABS, once you remove TCS

how many times do you actually set off your ABS when driving? hardly ever? The brake will still work normal, just no ABS

The cruise control will still work. All you need is a cruise control cable from a non TCS car. Since the cruise and throttle cables connect to that servo above the valve cover.

...except the one time you need it and it isn't there. That's kind of an ignorant statement. Safety is worth it to some people.

I should point out that my ABS is long gone, but it isn't my DD.
