Piston Slap...
I have a question, can LT1s get piston slap?
Is this common?
Of course when I fix something, I get some bad juju noises on first startup.
So sick of this car lol.

I bought my 93 Z28 used in 97 with 78,000 miles on it. The first winter I noticed a cold start knock, but went away when it was warm. Took it to the dealership and they replaced the engine under GMPP warranty. The new engine did the same thing when it was cold, but only in the winter months. I figured it was common. GM had the same problems when the new trucks and suvs came out with the ls motors. Good thing about my engine replacement was the fact it ended up being a 4-bolt main block.

I have never heard a stock LT1 slap but its common in LS1's. My forged motor has just a hint of it but its gone in 2 minutes. Its more common, but not a problem, with forged pistons.
Piston slap does not sound like a knock or click BTW, its more of a rubbing or scuffing sound.
