Depends on what you're looking for. What is this motor being built for? What type of valvetrain?

That kit is for a 2-piece rear main seal. You'll need the extra $125 (listed at the bottom) for the 1-piece RMS.

Also, 4140 steel does not have the tensile strength and hardness 4340 steel has. If I'm building a motor, I'm using 4340.

And, if you're going to retain a stock stroke, I'd save a ton of change and just have the stock crank turned down.

Overall, keep looking.

I am not supercharging or adding nitrous to the car. I am just slightly going to upgrade the heads, and thats about all the power adding I will do.

It is a 355 bored .040. right now it has AFR heads ported to 2.02/1.65, 187cc w/ a 54cc chamber. At the moment it has stock replacment pistons, and the original block spun a bearing so they added in a Jasper rebuilt block. I am assuming stock repl. crank and rods too. I have a TPiS ZZ-409 Cam and a shitload of others listed in my signature. Most will remain the same, I was just looking at forged out of curiosity, but I have people telling me its not needed so I may back off...So you think I should just use the stock crank/rods/pistons, or what?

How can you have stock replacement pistons when the cylinders are bored .040"? How are your heads "slightly upgraded" when you have ported AFRs? Your post is a bit confusing I'll admit.

If you aren't going to be spinning this thing to the moon, spraying, or boosting, there's nothing wrong with a hypereutectic piston/cast bottom end. If you have the cash, sure go for forged if it makes you feel better. Got a budget for this little project of yours?

If it were my choice, I'd go with a stock crank, resized stock rods, a good hypereutectic piston (Mahle), and all of that can be done relatively cheaply.

I honestly cant answer that lol, I went off of what I got from Jasper when I called them and they seemed very sketchy...they couldnt tell me anything about my build other than it is bored .040. Nothing about the rods, crank, or pistons. They said they generally use stock replacment...I figured maybe they use the same brand/type of piston as stock only with the .040 overbore...

Lol, and I didnt say I HAVE slightly upgraded heads haha. I was saying I am planning on slightly upgrading from what I currently have, and I currently have the AFR's. I currently have a 187cc head...thinking of going to 200cc heads w/ 2.08/1.60 valves, OR possibly the 215cc w/ same valves as the 200...havent decided yet.

So stock crank, Mahle pistons, and stock rods should do me fine?

That combo will work fine if you're budget-oriented and it will support your goals.

x2 .. That's my recipe, even stock pistons (IIRC Mahle is GM's source for them).
