Default Best way to install headers....?

Okay after two days I finally got the exhaust manifolds out. I'm trying to figure out the best most time efficient way to get my LPP's in. I heard the drivers side is the easiest. Well I tried today and couldn't get it in. Any ideas what I should do for drivers and passenger side? Thx...

well I had pacesetter headers, but my passenger side went in beautifully through the top and the driver's side I had to unbolt the steering linkage and slide it through the bottom.

get your nose like 3 feet(so you can put the header straight up and hook it in) off the ground, theyll go in. remove your steering linkage its just in the way.

Okay thanks for the all help guys. I think I'll try to remove the steering knuckle tomorrow mourning. I did research and a few people said they grind it down some. I just thought with the new LPP's you did have to remove anything.

i got some in by removing the steering linkage also went in thru the bottom, pass side thru the top if i remember correctly. i also found it easier to unbolt the motor mount on the side i was working on and jack the motor up.

do you have a cherry picker? Simple if you unbolt one motor mount at a time and hoist the engine. They slip right in!

if i remember correctly you just pull it off of the rack and push it up onto the column if needed. it should come out fairly easy however. if not spray it with WD40 and try not to slip off and hurt yourself...

np. its alot easier with that out of the way. if anything you might need to jack up your engine. remove the bolt form your engine mount. and you could jack it up from the crank hub. just be very careful

Theres two bolts for the steering linkage. One that connects to the steering wheel rod. Its the one visible in the engine bay. The other bolt connects to the steering rack underneath(both are 7/16th.) Anyways you have to pull the linkage from the bottom first then slide it out. It wont come out if you try to remove it from the top first.
